“By passing Measure A, the doctors and nurses at Mark Twain Medical Center can keep doing what they do best—provide quality health care to our local families.” – Dr. Andrew McCoy, Chief of Staff, Surgeon
MEASURE A WILL KEEP YOUR CALAVERAS COUNTY HOSPITAL OPEN, ATTRACT HIGHLY TRAINED DOCTORS AND NURSES AND PROVIDE THE BEST HEALTH CARE TECHNOLOGY.
Kristine Dittman, RN
Measure A will approve a new lease between Mark Twain Medical Center and the Mark Twain Health Care District and renew the affiliation with Dignity Health.
Measure A will:
Maintain an easily accessible, strong hospital in Calaveras County, which is vital to the community, without your taxes going up.
Allow investment in improved facilities, increased medical services and recruitment and retention of doctors and nurses to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care.
Ensure the hospital has access to the best technology to provide timely and accurate access to medical information.
Allow the continuation of Community Benefit contributions, which totaled $15 million in care for low-income residents, seniors and working families in the community last year.
Dignity Health and Mark Twain Medical Center have had a successful affiliation for nearly 30 years, which has allowed the hospital to grow, thrive, and serve as an example of exceptional local health care.
